Daily Misc was originally supposed to be a simple project:
Write something — anything — every day.
My last entry? 3/6/25.
Not exactly a shining record.
I’m really fucking good at having an idea and not following through on it.
The idea behind this project was that if I wrote every day, a few things would happen:
First, I’d build the habit. Repetition is key with that sort of thing.
In my head, it sounded easy — just write. Every day.
But life gets in the way.
I get in the way of me.
Whatever.
Anyway, build the habit — that was goal one.
Second, I hoped it would actually improve my writing.
I'm not so sure about that part.
My writing is very stream-of-consciousness. I’m not fancy. Not witty. Not clever.
It’s hard to be funny in writing unless it’s a shitpost meme.
Those make me laugh. Greentexts, too. (Go look them up if you don’t know.)
But real humor — humor through thoughtful writing — feels like a mountain I’m not equipped to climb.
Maybe someday. Probably not.
